French artist Natacha Mankowski’s background in architecture is immediately evident in her continual explorations of the built environment.
In ‘Hypernova’, she is elevating an unknown face of the digital environment. In using sequences of variable symbols, objects and colours, Mankowski reflects on how contemporary digital aesthetics become mapped onto - and become part of - the buildings and space around us. In this series, she critically examines how our digital and globalized era challenges past traces of identity, showing the struggle of maintaining heritage while adapting to a new era.
